Obsession

Liam's obsession lately are Rubik's cubes. He has them in different shapes and sizes. 3x3, 4x4, triangles, and some other shapes. It all started when we visited some friends, they have a boy 6 months older than Liam and he was the one using his cube. by the ways, his names is also Liam. That created a curiosity to my son. he asked for am cube and as we kept seeing them often both Liams started to learn how to solve it and move to different kinds of cubes.

They both went to a tournament together. Every time we visited them or they came to our house, the boys spent their time on their cubes, teaching each other their technics and tricks to solve it faster. They learned to remove all pieces and put them back together. He had to solve a 3x3 in a certain amount of time before he went to a tournament. Liam was all day with his cube in his hand. He watched videos, downloaded apps and spent lots of hours trying to improve his record until he finally did. He didn't win but it gave him a great experience. He asked for different sizes of cubes and shapes. He now knows how to solve many of them and even though he moved to another obsession, Tesla cars, he still walks around the house solving cubes or carrying them in his pockets.
